As a core component of automobile electrical system, the performance and quality of automobile low voltage wires directly affect the safety and reliability of vehicles. According to their own industrial standards and technical requirements, different countries and regions have formulated a variety of automotive low-voltage wire models, mainly including the national standard, the American standard, the Japanese standard and the German standard four categories.
Among the national standard automotive wires, QB-C and QB-D are made of XLPE insulating material with excellent high temperature resistance (-40℃~125℃), which are suitable for the engine compartment and the inside of battery packs of electric vehicles; QVR and QVVR are made of PVC insulating material with good flexibility and low cost, and their temperature resistance is -40℃~105℃, which are commonly used for wiring in the ambient area of the vehicle; QB-A and QB-B are thin-walled PVC insulated cables with light weight and low cost; QB-A and QB-B are thin-walled PVC insulated cables with light weight and low cost, which are often used in wiring in the ambient area of the vehicle. QB-A and QB-B are thin-walled PVC insulated cables, which are lightweight and space-saving, and are suitable for interior wiring of economic models.
Among the American Standard automotive wires, TXL, SXL and GXL are made of XLPE insulating material with excellent high temperature resistance, which are widely used in the engine compartment wiring harnesses of American models and high-voltage wiring harnesses of electric vehicles; TWP and GPT are made of PVC insulating material, which are flexible and low-cost, and are suitable for wiring in the room-temperature area of the car. Japanese standard automotive wire, AV, AVS and AVSS using PVC insulation materials, good flexibility and low cost, temperature resistance level of -40 ℃ ~ 105 ℃, commonly used in Japanese models of the interior harness and door harness; AEX and AVX using XLPE insulation materials, high temperature performance, applicable to the engine compartment and the battery pack inside the electric car.
In the German standard automotive wire, FLRY-A and FLRY-B adopt PVC insulating material with good flexibility and low cost, and the temperature resistance level is -40℃~105℃, which is widely used in the interior wiring harnesses and door wiring harnesses of German models.
In the selection, high temperature environment should give priority to XLPE insulated cables (such as QB-C, TXL, AEX), room temperature environment can choose PVC insulated cables (such as QVR, TWP, AV), the economic models can choose thin-walled PVC cables (such as QB-A, QB-B) in order to save costs, while the high-end models are more suitable for the German standard or the American standard XLPE cable (such as FLRY series. TXL series), TXL series).
In the future, with the popularity of new energy vehicles and smart cars, automotive low-voltage cables will develop in the direction of high temperature resistance and high shielding performance, while lightweight and environmental protection are also important trends, such as the use of aluminum cores or copper alloy materials to reduce the weight of the wiring harnesses, as well as the use of recyclable materials to reduce the impact on the environment. By understanding the characteristics and application scenarios of automotive low voltage wires of different standards, we can better select and apply low voltage wires to support the design and optimization of automotive electrical systems and promote the sustainable development of the automotive industry.
